One quick question, it was suggested that I avoid using the Norton Protected Recycle Bin. Why? What difference does the Norton Protected Recycle Bin do? Is it slower? Well, thanks again. I'm now a regular in here, thanks to the fine advice I've received. I hope to return the favor for many folks.

I have a quick question, does Kill() completely remove the file? Or does it send it to the recycle bin? Quick question to someone who might know. Lets say i wanted to delete a file named "file.abc" from my hard Drive. It was stored in Program files. Would there be a difference between deleting it by sending to the recycle bin and emptying, than going into MSDOS and typing "del c:\windows\prog...file.abc"?

Recycle bin question
I don't know if it will accept 'Recycle Bin' as the destination I don't think so, since the Recycle Bin has to know where the file came from for restoration purposes. You could simply move it to C:\RECYCLED, but then it couldn't be restored (and it might not even show up in the Recycle Bin).

As for Recycle bin, it isn't part of Quick View but is it's own control. If you don't want it visible then presumably you don't want end-users to use it. When wiping unwanted files in my container file I will send them first to the volumes Recycle Bin (simply because its quick) until I'm finished choosing which files to keep or discard. Then I will move the files from the Recycle Bin to an empty folder (eg. named NukeDaFile) on my C Drive.
